Rafa was a bit scratchy in today’s match with Feli, however the one thing clicking was the serve. 16 aces which is huge for Rafa.
Rafa needs to improve his break points conversion, gee how many chances did he have in that 2nd set, which really should have not gone to a t/break,anyway he won,I thought it would be a tricky match, seeing he has not played on a HC since March.

Nadal wins 1000th match:yahoo::clap::star: and most weeks in the top 10 in a Row ever as well.
Fele was serving very well today..When he is on like he was today it's very difficult for Rafa to get any type of rhythm against his fellow countryman. This happened during their last meeting strangely enough in Cincinnati 2015. I remember being in attendance for that match thinking I was going to have an opportunity to see the first Fedal (it wasn't a final) in Northern America but Rafa loss in 3 tight sets. Rafa is going to need to raise his levels substantially for the rest of this week if he is going to lift his first championship ever in Paris.(indoor).

Yeah, Rafa worked his way into it, didn't he? It's like he was warming up on the surface, but I liked what I saw, I think he'll grow more comfortable as he gets more play...

Rafa was not playing well, many unforced errors and very unusual bad returns even of the Feli´s second serves but his serve was pretty good which is the main weapon in Indoor, I liked a lot and I hope he can keep it so well

On the surface, Lopez was a tough first ask. Feliciano is still playing great tennis. One break early was all he needed to take the first set. Rafa figured it out by the end.

Rafa has the best W/L percentage of the big 3. (And therefore of everyone on tour.)

Riddle me this Batman, We have been bombarded with Nalbanian folklore over the past 10 years. So whereas Senor David Nalbanian's statistics ? Is this an oversight or was his game made of "Iron Pyrite "?

"That's one very negative thing about getting to 1,000.You are very old". Nadal joked in a post-match interview.
"But I'm super happy.Of course to arrive to the number means that I did a lot of things well, and during a long time,so I'm very happy".

I didn’t see this match with Rafa but he needed to be on his game, serving at 5-6. I like his attitude from what I am seeing. :)

Wawrinka turned things around and took out Rublev in 3. I'm a bit shocked. So were the tennis balls, I reckon. They took a beating.
