Rafa and Feli were scheduled to play today their first doubles but Stepanek seems to be injured so the match was canceled

Did Rosol win his first match?

Rosol's 1st round match is on Tuesday. Rafa's second round match is scheduled for Wednesday.

After the long clay court season of red, orange and brown, it's always so refreshing to see some tennis on the green grass.

Rafa you lucky SOB you...avoiding Rosol and everything...:snicker

What happened?

Baggy beat him in straights. I don't know why anyone would have automatically assumed that Rosol would get past Marcos.

I don't know why people were musing about a matchup of Rafa and Rosol! Just because of that upset a few years ago, I know I didn't think there would be a repeat performance! Rosol hasn't done anything that I can think of since! I only catch his name because of his upset of Rafa in that Wimbledon 2nd round! :nono :cover :p

I don't think many people assumed that Rosol is automatic. In my OP, I only listed Rosol as one of the possible opponent of Rafa in 2nd round.

While Rosol is not a consistent player on the tour with reasonable number of small titles, back to back wins etc, he had always been consistent performer against Rafa. Even in matches won by Rafa, such as in last year's Wimbledon, he did demonstrate that his previous shock win at Wimbledon is not a fluke and he does provide match up problems to Rafa.

I think that because of this, we now make Rafa co-favourite to win Wimbledon :popcorn

That's a shocker of a result in a way. But on the other hand, optically his game doesn't seem ideal for grass at least for the moment. But still... eating a bagel off Troicki? :nono

Agreed! Plenty have the talent and I've mentioned it many times before! The problem is these people have so much trouble finishing off a top player! :dodgy:
