GROUP Kuerten

Djokovic
Zverev
Cilic
Isner

GROUP Hewitt

Federer
Anderson
Thiem
Nishikori

Fed's got a good draw, should atleast make the SF. fakervic got a tough draw and if mugrev withdraws then Khachanov could replace him which would make his half even better. Hope faker doesn't make the SF and if he does he's totally exhausted so that Fed can get revenge for Bercy.

Going with Fed for his 7th WTF title.

Kei must be sick of Roger by now...
With Roger, it doesn't matter who is in his group. If he shows up, he makes the semis. If he is not sharp, all three of those guys can beat him. That is the surprise with being a Roger fan these days.

yes it all depends on Fred's level

The draw is now wide open after the withdrawal of Golden Career Slam champion Nadal. But I would love to see another Federer vs Djokovic match. :popcorn Rooting for Thiem or Anderson to win the title.

Thanks to Rafa for being kind enough to withdraw before they put Novak and Roger in the same group. :good:

And who would root for between Federer and Djokovic?

The great ROS-er gets the big servers.

Kei sucks against Djokovic more.
Huge pigeon since winning the US Open Semifinal between them 4 years ago.

It will be nice if Djokovic gets upset again.
He'd have to look as puny as he did v. KK on Sunday. But the big servers could get ahead of him, and he could get frustrated, which can make him vulnerable.

Djokovic will have no problem reaching the semis. Chances are he will have no problem winning the tournament. Who is a real threat on this dream surface for him?

I am grateful for Roger's group though, he'd have to be beyond hideous not to advance to the semis.

Decent draw for Federer but the downside of getting an easier RR is the SF being tougher (though it won't be that much tougher in this case).

Rafa has created a record which will probably be very difficult to shatter in the future. It may actually be more difficult to break than his 11 RG record. Rafa has qualified, but not participated in WTF a total of six times so far: 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Does anyone here think can some other player come even remotely close to this. I don't know what is the second best (or should I say worst) in this category right now. But, I think it is probably either 2 or 3 at the most.

Are you proud of yourself for that little gem? So trying to make up for his 11 RG wins. Roger will never catch that on grass.
