My guess is that Serena makes her return at the 2023 US Open or 2024 AO. I think she will be a part time player and pick her spots. I can't see her playing another non-hard court slam, though.

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova said on Monday she has been diagnosed with both throat and breast cancer. ( Martina has previoulsy beaten breast cancer at age 53). Both the cancers are Stage 1,apparently both are more treatable cancers.
Wishing Martina all the best and hopefully a full recovery.

I have mentioned this young Czech player before, Linda Noskova, who hit 60 winners to defeat Daria Kasatkina (3) at the Adelaide 1 International tournament yesterday, 36 76(2) 63. Daria did have some back trouble in the 3rd set, overall it was a solid win for the 18 year old and her biggest win to date....One to Watch in 2023!

New Comer of the Year 2022, Q.Zheng wins her first match of the year against A. Kontaveit (6) 61 46 76(7) saved a MP in the 3rd set t/break, in the Adelaide Innternational 1...promising signs form Kontaveit as well.

ASB Classic, Auckland
Match between 17 year old Czech Linda Fruhvirtova and Emma Raduncanu suspeneded at 4 games all 1st set due to showers,
play resumed and Fruhvitova won the 1st set 64, another youngster from Czech Republic that has lots of promise.
Emma re-sets her game and wins the 2nd set 64, she was down a break, going 3 sets
Rain delay again at the start of the 3rd set...Emma 1-0
Players back on court, now doing a warm-up
A match that had many stops and starts due to the weather (rain) Emma Raducanu d Linda Fruhvirtova 46 64 62.Well done to Emma, some bright play from Linda as well in the match

Linda is talented, though she has to work on her 2nd serve, which lets her down, being a youngster she has time to improve in that area
