Best way to stop a great qb is to pressure him without excessive blitzing. Seattle did a solid job getting pressure but the other part is that their secondary is ridiculously good. That defense is tough in many ways but the normal NFL defense needs to get pressure in the modern NFL. This makes the offensive line a big deal.

Manning has about 3 miliseconds to make a play. Wilson , on the other hand, was spotted BBQing on the field before throwing a TD pass. He had great protection today.

I'm sorry but that is just a typical idiotic analysis.

Wilson was getting swarmed in the first half. On most of his drop backs, he has been pressured. The difference between him and Manning is that he can actually move. He is mobile. Manning, on the other hand, is a statue.

Thanks Cali...what would i do without you?

One of my biggest pet peeves about NFL football talk is when people make a big deal out of the offensive line, one way or the other. It makes no sense in the modern NFL.

All fine and dandy but at some point you have to learn to differentiate between humor and in debt analysis. Hint, mine was humor.;)

Murat, you have to understand that I am a Steeler fan, and year after year I have to deal with hearing utter idiocy about how the Steelers don't have a good enough offensive line.

The fundamental problem of the team - that they have the worst wide receivers in the NFL by far - is never addressed. People just blame the line for every problem.

So year after year they draft more lineman, and yet the line mysteriously never gets better!

No one ever contemplates that if your receivers are all 5-9 and you don't have one tall receiver who can jump for high passes to catch through contact, you aren't with the program in the modern NFL.

Nope, it's all the line's fault (or Roethlisberger's, for sanely holding the ball and hesitating to throw it to receivers who are draped). Go Stillers!

And to think Seattle could have more than 43 points w/ 11:45 left in the game. They kicked 2 early FG's

Awww. Sherman is leaving on a cart. At least he will get a ring anyway and look forward to next season.

Probably my favorite part of this Super Bowl has been watching Percy Harvin run, pure pleasure.

It's going to be huge in my grocery store tomorrow. Most New Yorkers had no skin in that game, but we're never without an opinion. There will be a walk of shame through the seafood dept. for me. Luckily, I didn't bet money.
