The Tournament:

A French national tournament has been held since 1891. For some time it was open only to French citizens, or members of French clubs. In 1925, it was opened to international amateurs, and in 1968 it was the first Grand Slam event to go "open," allowing amateurs and professionals to compete. It has always been played on clay.

About Paris:

Paris is one of the most charismatic and romantic cities in the world. It is an art mecca, a gastronomic destination, a film capital and the crossroads of Europe. It is the City of Light, softly beautiful in its gardens, monuments and boulevards, and hard-edged, in its blue-collar neighborhoods, its banlieue. Go to the top of the hill at Sacre Coeur at sunset and watch the lights come up.

Remember if you want to watch RG and don't have an abo to a stream, then you can use this link (to a sort of backdoor) to a betting site's streaming

https://live-stream365.com/

Remember to press tennis - then you can see tennis matches played LIVE, at that moment (there is no schedule - which you have to find somewhere else). Quality as good as on the normal live channels - but mostly without commentators - which can be a relief from time to time. Enjoy RG 2020.

Schedule can be found on sites like this - where you can find how far they have got in the schedule - and if it's live. Scroll down to WTA RG

Serena is through 7-6, 6-0. Very night and day in the sets. At least, she fought hard to keep this a 2 set affair. 2nd round should be a good test.

Goodness me Kerber has now lost in the first rd for the fourth time in five years at RG, she was defeated by Kaja Juvan 63 63.
Quite frankly her game is suited to clay,it is the one GS she has not won, does not look she will be winning it any time soon.

Keys also lost and Muchova too. Muguruza barely won, tought she was in a good form but really struggled against a weak opponent.
