This is Aga's second premier 5 win, which is 900 points, she won Miami which is a Premier Mandatory 1000 pointer in 2012. Aga also won Tokyo(900 points) and Beijing(1000 points) back to back in 2011.

Venus played very poorly. I kind of expected more results from her, especially after she beat Serena in the semis.

rad arrests her recent comparative decline..but looks like as in the case of Federer it was a match too far for for venus but reaching a premier event final at 34yrs is still special.

Poor Sorana Cirstea Her horrible form is catching up with her rankings.
She will fight for her life here with not much chance because she just isnt good enough at present.
If she doesnt win a round or two, she drops from top 30 (2 months ago) to 85 !
She will become the 4th seed in Romania after Begu and Niculesku.
She will be so ashamed that she wont show her face in the streets of Bucharest

But, Sorana is a darling. She can even be 185, nobody cares. :heart:

and she can get center court night match at USO (while Simona has not yet got a night match).
