I'm not sure how motivated Novak will be for this YEC! He had gone 7-8 years w/o a title before snagging his 6th win last season to tie Roger! I joke that he used up every bit of luck & skill in 2015 that he'd pay for it! He did w/ a lackluster 2016 (w/ Nole-Slam) and an injured 2017 resulting in "Fedal Redux!"

Going to have to disagree with you here, Fiero. Novak clearly has a chip on his shoulder to surpass Rafa and Roger in every way possible, which would mean a 7th WTF title (not to mention another Wimbledon or two). Who knows, maybe his Serbian Alchemists can even get him to 16 AOs

Maybe, Stef needs to cut the apron strings he has with his dad, his dad seems to have a strong hold on him, he constantly talks and never shuts up while Stef is playing, no wonder he seems on 'edge playing'

Very happy with Jannik's first match, too good for Tsitsipas winning in straight sets 64 64, didnt face a BP
7 consecutive wins for Jannik, 5 of them versus 15 players in form. Improves to 3-5 in H2H, having won the last 2 matches they have played against each other.Jannik moves to 14-1 indoors in 2023.

Rune's playing w/o fear! I see a lot of Boris' recklessness in him, ripping the ball & approaching the net to cut off points! It worked better in the old days! Novak's swatting away most of those attempts at pressuring him w/ ease! IDK how people still say Djokovic's competition isn't there & "he's padding his numbers!" He can't & won't win with many no matter the records he breaks! Shame! I'm not a fan of his game, but appreciate what he's doing out there on all surfaces against "all comers!"
