good win for del potro, very clean, 12 aces, I wasn't looking out for 2hbh, I dunno why I didn't, mind there were hardly any rallies to be fair, grass fresh n green is still slick. weather its old school grass or the 21st century slower grass seed mix.

grigor looked flatter than a hedgehog caught by surprise on the outside lane of a motorway. sad sight.

Looking forward to seeing Fed out there on the turf.

Radek Stepanek (Czech Republic) beat Denis Istomin (Uzbekistan) 7-5 3-6 6-3
Taylor Fritz (U.S.) beat Fabrice Martin (France) 3-6 7-6(6) 6-1
Florian Mayer (Germany) beat 6-Viktor Troicki (Serbia) 6-4 7-6(4)

Young Taylor Fritz is through and will meet the one and only Roger Federer.

While I expect it to end badly for Taylor, it should also be a thrill for him. I don't think they've played. And on grass! Best grass tutorial a young man could hope for.

Federer lead Fritz 4-3 with Roger to serve (up a break) and the match was suspended, then postponed until tomorrow.
Fritz held his own until 3-3, when after taking a 30-0 lead, he found himself in trouble with some unforced errors, and finally yielded the break with a double fault. It looked to me like he was getting nervous as the set approached the business end. As the two went to their chairs, it began to drizzle, and the match was soon called with thunderstorms in the area. Forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy with little chance of rain. This match is scheduled to resume no earlier than 12:30 pm local time after the completion of the 11 am match of Thiem vs. Groth.

Respectfully,
masterclass

Fritz blinks.... Fed breaks...

Roger will serve for the match at 5-4 in the decider. Pressure told on the young American... who's played really well here.
