h2h is 9-2 in favor of Masha

where are the two wins? What is the H2H on clay?

Firepower will play less role on clay and so Aga stands a chance.

Aga's 2 wins came on HC. 2007 USO 2R or 3R and 2012 Miami Final.

Twice on hard courts, never on clay! they have played 3 times on clay, Aga took one set from Masha back in 2007 on clay. That's it, the other two were straight sets won by the loud one.

I don't really understand why but Aga crumbles against Maria. There must be something in her game that Sharapova can really take advantage of. There are plenty of other power players that Aga can stretch but not Sharapova.

Maria in straights.

It's all down to the screeching hindering her.

This is such a tilted match before it even starts. I agree, what does Maria have over Aga. There have been some tepid moments between the two, but in all reality, it's a done deal before the first ball is struck. Masha in two. Maybe we should have a poll to see how long the match lasts to make the poll more interesting. :laydownlaughing

Pova will crush Aga's serves. I cannot imagine this lasting long.

Aga's serve was broken by Maria to start this match

Maria with a Ace to consolidate her break 2-0
