S. Zhang defeated Naomi Osaka in straight sets 64 75, Osaka had 29 UFE, she will not be seeded for the USO dropped to No 44 in the live rankings, her movement was a glaring problem, lack of matches was evident in her match today

Just watching Coco's match, she is a good athlete and when she has time on her fhand she does well, when pressured on her fhand wing, she commits UFE, or arrrives late on the FH wing.
Coco will serve for the 1st set against Bouzkova 5-3. broken by Bouzkva, Coco did have a fall, though her movement seems okay
back on serve in the 1st set 5-4

Kontaveit (2) is struggling in her match against Martincova? she has not been the same player since she decided to part with her coach, Tursnov.

Trainer came out for Coco and taped up her ankle. She lost the 1st set and the first game of the 2nd and then retired.

Oh no what a shame, I went for a quick run just has she was to serve for the 1st set. I hope she will be okay for the USO

Coco and Jess have a doubles match tomorrow, I think it would be wise if they withdraw

I was out on a run when this happened, too. Did she roll her ankle? Not shocked to see V lose, though sad, and frankly not shocked to see Osaka go out early. Will she ever pull her game back together?

Coco was going for a fhand and was stretched wide, and fell, on it, she got up and appeared okay, she was about to serve, and I went for a quick run and read Kskate post she lost the 1st set and retired
Osaka needs match play for starters, going out in her rd 1 matches, does not help, also she had one of the best WTA coaches in Wim Fissette and sacked him? her father is now her coach

Help Me that serve of Halep's drives me to distraction
Now 4 breaks of serve in this match so far in the 1st set
Pot has asked for the trainer,, appears to be her lower back?
Rain falling on court, play is stopped, players still on court, at present
Both players have left the court, it will take a little while to dry the court

Vee actually played really well. She was up a break twice in the 1st set and even had 4 BP's to break and serve for the set. She just can't sustain her level for any period of time. She is 42 after all

I did watch some and thought she was coming back. I get it. Too bad she had to play Plishkova.

Serena has to move her feet more, movement at present is not good, timing on her ground shots, at present is not there

Emma gets the double break leads 4-1
