I'll bring my opinions to the Cincy thread, but there is a LOT going on in there, in terms of tennis, and emotion. :)
Bianca has decided to do a training block instead of playing Cinncy, I am disappointed with her quite frankly, she needs match play at this stage

The Draw Gods were not kind to Serena: first round against the USO champion, and if she survives that, Kanepi or Azarenka.
I'm working through my draw challenge. Serena gets Radacanu. If Emma was really confident, I'd feel the decision was made. But...go with heart? And then, if I'm right, she gets Azarenka? I could be happy if Vika gets her, because I believe they are actually friends. Oh, what to do??

Since coming back on the tour, after a elbow injury, this year, Barbora Krejcikova ( RG Champion 2021)) has really lost her way on all surfaces, going out in straight sets in her 1st round match to Kudermetova 63 63

Amanda Anisimova defeats the recent San Jose champion, Daria Kasatkina No 9, 64 64.Amanda is such a clean striker of the ball, to me her ranking of #22, really hasn't done her justice of late.
BTW this is Amanda's 3rd straight win over Daria.

I see Amanda snacked on those love offerings.

Do I need to watch Drama Queen Alize Cornet vs The Maddening Sloane Stephens? I cannot believe these 2 players have never played one another before on the tour.

Comfortable 1st set for Sloane, footwork, overall game working wins in quick time 61, 33 minutes

Sloane continues to impress in the 2nd set, her serve has been a highlight, when under pressure from Cornet at times, Cornet is still to get on the board in the 2nd set, though Cornet hasnt been allowed into the match from the start
Sloane leads 5-0

In the best match I have seen Sloane play in a long time, she defeats Cornet 61 60....Sloane will play Iga Swiatek in her next match

I read that earlier today, I mean people have carried flags of other nations before into this tournament? not a word has been said? It was an Ukraine flag, the person involved wasnt harming or causing trouble and was made to leave the stadium and the grounds, and leave the flag in the car, then allowed back into the tournament, quite a sad state of affairs.
