Oh Ben not a good volley from you, alas you are broken in the 3rd set, maybe that is the one break that Fritz needs to now win this match, still an impressive match from you, keep fighting

Don Fabio,

Bit surprised to see Borna going out in straight sets to Molcan? though as many players have said these courts are slow and high bouncing and playing like a clay court.

Just watching Alcaraz finish his stretches before his match, he is very flexible
Interested to see how he plays since his leg strain, Thanasi said he loves watching him play, I hope you have your game face on tonight Thanasi seeing you are his opponent :)

When Alcaraz hit a fhand winner in the 2nd point of his first service game at a 100 mph I knew he was going to be 'on' in his match,
Movement was good, solid first round match defeating Kokkinakis 63 63...well done Alcaraz!

After seeing Rune and Alcaraz tonight there's no doubt that Djokovic Pushovic Luckovic would have not won the AO if he had met them there.

Me too. Considering Molcan is playing poorly this year, only 2 wins until IW. Courts look like suiting Molcan more. I had Borna to win this match and then lose to De Minaur, but the australian also lost to Mr. Fucs who decided to show up out of nowhere. Lot's of seeds went out already.

Both boys definitely looked good last night.

Seeing Andy Murray was definitely one of those “wow where have the years gone by” moments as my wife and I saw him win his first ATP in San Jose in 2006. Shocker he won in straight sets.

Love Stadium 2, without moving saw FAA, Murray, Rybakina , Kenin, Holger, McDonald, Madison Keys, back to back.

You are talking hypotheticials regarding if Alcaraz played the AO he would have beaten Djokovic in the final? for starters the playing surface at IW is different than the playing surface at the AO. Alcaraz was injured and withdrew
In regards to Rune he was 5-1 up in the super t/breaker in his QF match against Rublev at the AO and 'mentally went away' and lost.Rune was out of contention of playing Djokovic in the final at the AO.
You cannot compare their form at this tournament, both players have just played their first round matches at IW, still a long way to go.

Agreed!! For me Nadal is the best player I have ever seen. His tennis is sublime!!
He's so good, he beat the champion of the local galactic arm, the undefeated Xxzoriustylax, an eight-limbed octilopod from Aldebaran's fourth planet. Even more impressive is that Xxzoriustylax wielded four racquets, each equipped with quantum-fusion boosters, and the octilopods are capable of instantaneous warp jumping. Rafa won 0-6, 1-6, 7-6 (87-85), 7-6 (29-27), 6-0 in a match lasting 27 hours.

After complaining to the umpire of the state of the slow courts, in Meddy's opinion are not really hard courts lol! he defeats Ivaskha 62 36 61, 16 match streak, 21-2 in 2023.
