Dubai's a mess! They didn't have Fedalovic to begin w/, then they lose their top 2 seeds before the final! Karma? Rublev just disintegrated out there! His temper looks to be getting worse; usually for no good reason! He was in control of that match vs Bublik in the 3rd! He was up a break, ready to go 2 breaks & the next thing we see, it's all tied up at 5, then he's defaulted for abusing a linesman! Wow! What a week! He'll definitely drop in the rankings along w/ Medvedev who was trying to defend his title! :astonished-face: :fearful-face:  :angry-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

He was screaming in the guy's face, and it was abusive. He could pay a sports psychologist, or decide to stop being a jerk or whatever, but all the ATP can do is toss them out and fine them when they step over the line. Good on this particular tournament/ump for not tolerating it.
It was horrific. He was yelling at the linesman and then yelled at the supervisor. Telling him how can he trust those linespeople? Apparently, someone who speaks Russian told the chair he used some unsavory language and that helped to get him DQ too

Seriously twisted irony,
Zverev re-entering Top 5 thanks to the default of the current No 5 Rublev, on the second anniversary of his own default at Acapulco.

Rune and Patrick M scouting the Draper/De Minaur match.

Moutet got an awful raspberry from the Chilean crowd for beating local favorite Jarry. I couldn't tell if there was bad sportsmanship in there.

De Minaur and Draper going 3 sets in the first SF in Acapulco
63 26
They are still yet to play well at the same time today ( Draper asked for a doctor being up a double break in the 2nd set, feeling a bit sick it sounds)
Jack Draper cannot stay healthy it seems, sad to say, he has been playing well in Acapulco, and now down 2 breaks of serve in the 3rd set
Jack Draper retires in his SF match ( stomach issue, maybe gastro)
De Minaur wins by retirement 63 26 4-0 and is into the final where he will have a chance to defend his title
Bad luck Jack! there is a kind of silver lining for Jack he will return to the Top 40 next week

I was disappointed with Fils in this tournament, hoping he can do better on the HC coming up

Jack Draper who had to retire in his SFmatch in Acapulco had food poisoning for half the week. A few of the players/coaches in Los Cabos and Acapulco have. Started before the Nishioka match. Jack has done unbelievably to get to the SF and take a set off Alex De Minaur

I did not realise this was their first HC meeting, Holger played well in the first set 6-3 W16 UFE 9
Now he's down a break in the 2nd, just held for 3-5. Will be a test of his fitness if it goes 3. He looks pretty sweaty.

Apparently Rune is also feeling sick, he didnt play at all well in the 2nd set, there is food poisoning going around in this tournament, the reason why Draper had to retire in his SF match
Ruud 63 2nd set

Rune looks ok. He got a great break on Rune, but now has given it back. Let's see. Ruud serving 2-3.

Here it comes...Rune is up the break again, but starting to cramp. And he just lost serve again. Ruud to serve at 3-4, with Rune cramping.

Fitness has always been an issue w/ him and this is BO3. He's way too young to continue losing fitness like this
