FAA comes back to win 46 76(7) 7-5 to defeat Shelton and gets his first win in the Finals
Keeps his hopes alive before the match against Zverev on Friday
Shelton now needs a miracle in 2 days, Sheltons ability to almost win but lose sets he really should be winning has been showcased this week

Sinner breaks and leads Zverev 6-4 1st set
After barely losing points on serve all set., Zverev gets broken with a couple of poor fhand errors.
Sinner playing well, using a lot of variety

Zverev’s forehand is an absolute disgrace

de Minaur gets his best win of the season, defeats 2024 R/U Fritz 76(3) 63 to eliminate Fritz and keep his own chances alive in the ATP Finals
BTW. That was Alex firstTop Ten win if the year outside team events. He'd lost 16 in a row and now he's in the best position to finish 2nd in his group behind Alcaraz
This result from de Minaur has Alcaraz qualified for the SFs the only scenario he was out would've been if Fritz won in 2 sets and he lost, but than can not happen now.
Updated scenarios,
If Alcaraz def Musetti
1. Alcaraz
2. de Minaur
If Musetti d Alcaraz
1. Musetti
2. Alcaraz

It was a fun competitive 1st set between Carlos and Lorenzo, Carlos winning 64
In the 2nd set Carlos took complete control of the match
Alcaraz d Musetti 64 61
With this win from Alcaraz he now secures the No 1 ranking for 2025! ( this is Carlos 2nd time at the No 1 ranking)
de Minaur has made the SFs now.
Alcaraz will face either FAA or Zverev in the SFs
de Minaur will face Sinner in the SFs

Carlos Alcaraz will recieve the year end ATP No 1 on Friday at 2pm on Centre Court
Congrats to him, well deserved!

Now I hope he brings home the trophy, then focuses sternly on becoming the youngest player to achieve the career slam, in Australia!

Carlos deserved his No 1 ranking, but lets not forget Sinner was out for 3 months and has finished strong in the indoor hc tournaments and he is the defending champion in Turin, and I will cheering for Sinner to win in Turin ( I am Italian remember lol! )
Then at the AO where I will be live I will get the chance to witness if Carlos can win his career slam, being the youngest or will Sinner the defending champion go 3 peat, much to look forward to at the AO in 2026

He was banned for 3 months. That was a justified ban…

Justified or not that wasnt my point, I was stating Jannik finished strongly in the indoor hc tournaments, missing out for 3 months earlier in the year, and it came down to Turin who would take the No 1 ranking.

Carlos has beaten him 7 out of the last 8 times, I think he deserves it. Jannik can take comfort that he was able to compete, and he made a mistake recalling the supplier of the drug. He’s a great player and so forth but if there’s an asterisk to be applied this season, it’s not going to be stuck on Charlie…

Btw de Minaur got his first top ten win this year defeating Fritz
If people were watching the match Fritz was struggling with his knee
