Scream-a-lenka gone. That serve is still an issue. It's telling that every time she has an opportunity to overtake Iga, she fails miserably.

Coco is still struggling w/ her timing on the groundies. Jess has rushed her a bit and given her a lot of different looks so she's not sure what's coming. It's actually a good tactic against the defensive skills of Coco. A gamplan I'm sure more people will copy.

Jess 6-2 1st set,
5 breaks in the first 5 games, Jess held twice in a row at the end, she wins the set easily in the end.
People underestimate Jess, she has been able to generate good pace and her flat power on great ball striking especially on a HC, she has used good tactics today in her match against Iga,,

Jess using good tactics going hard and flat down the middle, giving Iga not enough time to reset, also hard and flat into her fhand wing,

As I posted before this stat, when Pegula has won the 1st set this year, she has gone onto win the match
Maybe I should not have posted that stat soo soon lol!

yep, but she completely dumped serve when she had 40-15. It may cost her this set and the match. You have to put a top player away. Cannot give them a lifeline. She just did that.

Those memories may resurface where she couldn't close. Had 4-1 lead against Tatoo at Wimby. Had several MP's against P3tra in Miami, etc.

I jumped the gun too quick, got to reset and do what she has been doing in this match
