So basically Shapovalov can win his 1st Masters 1000 title today, something that players like Raonic and Nishikori haven't been able to do after so many years on tour. :popcorn

Wow first set Novak!
He is serving extremely well, the whole tournament. When he could raise his baseline tennis, then .....:dance3:.

How long did it take 2009?
Rafa said that he was previously sideline for almost a month away from tennis and it prevented him from an opportunity to participate in a Davis Cup tie vs Israel..

I remember him been sidelined last year, then he came back and destroyed everything at the AO to reach the F.
If it’s only a month or so he will be ok. Thumbs up!
Wish him quick recovery.

What a horrible match. Djokovic just putting the ball in play waiting for Shapovalov to do unforced errors.

However now I know why Nadal withdrew. Look at the trophy, he obviously didn't want to injure himself while biting it.

Great level from Novak today. Good week and nice win today. Congrats to the Shapo fans here from Canada, great week for him as well and a nice speech by him during the ceremony.

Agree, I’m not happy with his overall level at this tournament, except his service and the performance against Tsitsipussy.
Nadal can also win this way, it seems to be their energy saving mode !
Peak performance only against the top guys !
