Toughest draw: Caroline Wozniacki. This may be a tournament of particular significance for fifth-ranked Wozniacki, whose professional start was in the 2005 W&S Open as a wild card (just eight days after her 15th birthday). But she faces a wicked quarter this time, conceivably playing 2013 champion Victoria Azarenka, Wimbledon finalist Garbine Muguruza and World No. 3 Simona Halep just to reach the semifinals. It'll take a whale of a week for her to win her first title at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

I know, I can't believe it! When I looked at the seeds list in this post I assumed she mustn't be playing here. How can she win a tournament and move to #12 in the rankings and still not be a seed? :cover
