It's worth mentioning that the defending Champion is Li Na, she beat Angie Kerber in the finals last year.

There are several players that I cannot wait to see. I want to see how Sabine follows-up her Wimbledon final loss and I can't wait to see if Maria Sharapova has a new game plan under Jimmy's tutelage. Will she be coming to the net more? What game plan will she use to beat you-know-who? Has Jimmy used Mr. Miyagi like-tactics (wax-on, wax-off) to improve the Sharapova serve? So many questions.......can't wait for the tournament.

Does anyone think Serena will withdraw? She will likely win in Canada and could use the rest, especially given her stomach ailment.

I hope not. Even though she is now playing "hard-court" tennis, she could still use some more matches under her belt to get out of "clay-mode". Her ace count is up but so is her UF errors.

You thought she'd only won 1 tournament this year, and now you're writing she's winning events "left and right?!"

Two tournaments????

Well, you did admit to being confused!!

Serena does have a good draw
I think everyone is interested how Maria and her new coach Connor's fares in this tournament
Can Azarenka go deep in the tournament after her withdrawl in Toronto?
Can Li defend her title?....I dont think so.
Many questions to be answered
Bring it On..........
