The highlight of the match for me between Bublik and Felix was the outstanding racquet smash from Bublik, Marat Safin would have been pleased, as Mr Nice Guy Felix helped him clear up the pieces on court.
Despite Felix level which did drop a bit in the beginning of the 2nd set, where there were exchanges of breaks, he had 31 W 21UFE 10/16 at the net 12Aces 2 DFs first serve 66% winning 85% of these and 43% of 2nd serves
Felix d Bublik 76(3) 64 and is the first player through to the final,

Zverev's left ankle swelled up late yesterday after his QF match against Medevev, when he had a fall late in the 1st set,
He said you have to be 100% healthy to play Sinner, which he could not.
Zverev will probably fly to Munich to see his doctor who did surgery on his ankle, to see if there is anything he can do about it, maybe an injection and then he will come to Turin at some point.

Yannik Noah will hand out the trophies, not my favorite person at all, after what he said about Rafa
The one think I like about Paris Masters it just goes for 1 week, I wish all the other Masters tournaments did the same!
Felix is a well spoken young man, speaks soo well, take all the positives of this week Felix you played soo well all week
Jannik came into this tournament with just 1 match win in 3 previous tournaments in Paris, I am soo proud of you, have a good well earned rest for Turin!

Jannik Sinner is pretty good.

Anyhow, I feel optimistic for FAA next year. He's risen to the top of the queue for most likely new big title winner, edging out De Minaur and until we see if Fonseca can take a next step forward. Dude just seemed to play a high level - not Sincarazian, but he could beat anyone else in this form. I don't think the top guys should take him for granted.

Hopefully he can build on this form and take all the positives from this year into 2026 and I feel he can make Turin, he is the top seed and needs to make the SF in Metz to qualify
Musetti needs to win Athens and needs Felix lose before the SF in Metz to qualify for Turin

Reminder of an update coming into play from 2026 points in the week following Paris will only count towards the Race for the following year. So the race for qualification will finish in Paris.

And just to clarify: Felix only needs to reach the Metz SF if Musetti wins Athens. A nice bit of end-of-year drama, to add to the fight for YE #1 at the Finals.

Yes, that's my sense of it - and it makes sense. He'll see if he can play up to a level in which he feels like he has a chance of winning Turin, but won't just go because he qualifies. He's been there, done that, and will only go if he thinks he has a solid chance of winning. And I don't think winning Athens will automatically send him to Turin: it depends more on how he plays (and feels).

He struggled with injuries in his last tournament, if he feels well after Athens I think he will play

Just watching some highlights of the match ,things I missed as I was caught up in the emotion of the match, which had a lot on line for both players, Felix would have qualified for Turin if he had won, and Jannik would return to the No 1 ranking,

Sinner set the tone of the match with great serving served 72% won 40 of 44 first points, did not face a BP on serve
Jannik came out attacking Felix bhand wing, Felix hits that shop fairly flat, he cant create the sharp angles that Sinner can conjure with pace. When Felix is stretched he tends to play flatter, maybe try a loopier bh to give himself time to recover to the center of the court, Sinner realizes that and made him pay.
Felix has the best ATP 30 tie breaker wins this season, but blinked scattering a fh down the line wide, to give the mini break to Jannik, Jannik with a diagonal fhand for 4-2, then came back with the same shot
Jannik stepped in with a great bhand down the line winner, Jannik had no UFE in the TB ,winning his 5th title of the year. Jannik 64 76(4)

If talking about Novak, it's doubtful he'll put himself thru the grind of another YEC w/ such young top notch comp.! Felix even represented well in his loss to Sinner today in Paris! I think it w/b worth it just to show up, do the RR, & not be concerned about winning as much as to keep him sharp thru the off-season! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Tuned in to a little of Dzumhur v Fearnley in Athens. No exaggeration, there are about 50 people in the stands. I guess it will pick up later in the week when Novak shows up? If he fills up this stadium, he'll have earned every drachma of his appearance fee.

BTW,
The Paris Masters 1000 surpasses its attendance record with over 200,000 tickets sold, exceeding the previous record set in the last edition at Bercy when 176,000 tickets were sold, as stated by the FTF
