Up 2 breaks in the 3rd, and lost. You have GOT to be kidding me.

It's like Hallowe'en came early for Andy, instead of Christmas...

Not so shocking, Tiafoe & Shelton went out in the 1st Rd. as well! If a player even makes the final of a tournament these days, they're subject to being summarily knocked out in their next event! It's so weird to see; esp. when some think the competition is weak! :face-with-head-bandage: :astonished-face: :fearful-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Well they’re obviously weak if they can’t play well two weeks in a row..

Fritz saves the day for the American men, lets see if Paul can follow suit

Oh, man...a heartbreaker for Gasquet. He got the break back in the 3rd, had 3 MPs in the TB, and lost to Paul. He clearly wanted it, too. I wonder how much longer he'll stay in the game.

People complain about late matches. It's 2:30am in Paris, and Wawrinka and Thiem are just going into the 3rd set. I had to check to see this match was live. Seriously? Personally, I'm not opposed to them working late, since no one asks them to get up at 6am, but this seems unusual for a MS1000.

So curious to see who wins the battle of the wounded warriors here. 3-3 in the 3rd.

Feel for both guys having to play in the wee small hours!
