Stan the man goes through, keeping the hope alive for London. Little let down in the second set but he was solid in the third.

Almagro wins but now officially eliminated because of Stan's win...and they will face each other, which is kind of ironic.

Is stan pretty much in since tsonga lost, barring Milos winning the tournament?

Yes, that's my understanding. According to the ATP site, Raonic needs to reach the final to have a chance, and Haas has to win to have a chance.

Cilic put up the good fight, but Delpo wins the second set TB.

I have always been amazed at how good Cilic can hit his backhand, and how his forehand has never matched that. He was able to return serve on his backhand side so well today. Even high kickers, he just goes over the ball so well.

I'm sure being a tree gives one undeniable perks.

How come only on the backhand side though? Something wrong with this tree...;)

Outdoors, Nadal has the best win-loss % in history, .859.

Indoors he's 38th on the all-time list at .659

Granollers serve looks like a cheap Christmas pressy. Doesn't even come with bendy knees...

Weird but effective backhand though...

He's a strange player, isn't he? I think the second set should be over fairly quick.

Sorry, I mean I hope the second set....etc!

Kohlschreiber-Haas just begun. That'd be a better match to watch then this one, I reckon. Winner gets Federer...

Did Rafa once play doubles with the Bowl of Granola?

Because he's using the doubles court a lot on that forehand... :nono

It's the german language, single handed backhand portion of the draw.

Did Anderson withdraw? I'd have it 60-40 at best for Roger if he doesn't.

NADAL2005RG

1st set between Nadal and Gran is one of my favorite indoor sets of the year. Extremely crisp hitting from the 2 Spanish professionals.
