The Americans wasted a WC on Donald Young. I know it was mentioned before, just reiterating the obvious, as he lost to Hurkacz.

I noticed he's down to #209, and he's like the #16 American male player. That's one whose never fulfilled early hopes. I also notice Sock is down to #115. I've lost track of if he's injured or what.

That's an impressive venue. Ellison and his team have done a great job with Indian Wells.
They have. My fear is that he wants to move the USO to IW.

Here's Day 2 photos from the tournament:

Watching probably three of the greatest male tennis players of all time in the same day is something to treasure in the future. Also, I could see why Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are tough to beat because even in practice their opponents are having a hard time with their shot making abilities!

I don't mean to defend Young, but Hurkacz is a good player, I've been wanting to mention that I believe he will do better than a lot of other guys which have much much more hype about.

Ok, already jinxed him so I can say that I believe this kid is on the verge of a breakthrough.

Good win by McDonald over Sousa.
He is another player who is slowly trending up.
I saw the last few games of this match. I like his footwork, he is a fast kid like his coach, Michael Russell used to be.

I see Berdych lost to Lopez in 2 tie breaks
T.berdych losing to spanish player who does that remind me of ?(Nadal) it started with Nadal and now even Lopez has a winning record against Berdych.

Jarry's service motion is similar to Gulbis's fh. Super-weird.

They are not the only players on tour with such motion.
I cannot recall the names, but there are some female players with the same motion.
In the end, the effectiveness is what matters.

By the way, Tiafoe's FH motion is also quite weird.

I get it that what matters is what works. I'm just saying it looks strange. But who am I to say? I'm a fan of Nadal, with an unconventional game. Which offends lots of people. Perhaps I'll shut up now. LOL.

That has been said. I think it's less weird than it was. But now I'm over complaining about weird, when I remembered that was one of the complaints about Rafa's game. ;)
