^ Iconic scene.

Just watched Casino again last night with the missus... I'd almost forgotten what a cracking movie that was. DeNiro, Stone and Pesci were all top drawer.

I actually prefer it to Goodfellas. Might be only one in the world.

I do prefer Goodfellas. It has two of my favorite single-shot steadicam scenes of all time, and I think Pesci was absolutely terrifying in it.

Both are classics. Goodfellas is a bit more raw around the edges and Pesci really pulls off the psychotic sidekick to perfection. He had menace in Casino too, but not on the same scale.

The main area where Goodfellas has a clear edge is in specific iconic scenes that you'll never forget, and Pesci smashes them.

Funny How?

Tarantino movies are filled with memorable scenes. In fact, the opening for Inglorious Basterds is my favorite Tarantino scene of all time.

Britbox has an exquisite taste in movies. LOTR are my favorite movies of all time. But yeah, as far as classic scenes go, nothing beats the Godfather.

That Shining scene though..."I corrected her." Fantastic.

Yep, that scene is pure gold... not just the acting but the way Kubrick shot it.

also in scenes -- check out again -- the ones played by

HELEN MCRORY -- AS Mrs. Poole -- in the PENNY DREADFUL series...

as the ''very old" witch -- now THAT is EVIL played to the hilt..truly malevolent in its most deceitful way...

while her VERY nuanced -- ''unsure if we should be loyal to voldemort" kind of witchery - as a mother in HARRY POTTER...SHE'S PRETTY there. hehe.

I haven't watched Penny Dreadful yet, but it's on my To Do List.

For me one of the funniest scenes in movies...

When this movie came out my friend went to see it separately with our boyfriends. The morning after we caught the bus to work. She told me that she had seen this movie the previous night and we started talking about a lot of different scenes in the movies. We were gurgling and sputtering so hard that we drew too much attention to ourselves, but we couldn't stop laughing. This movie had me crying and laughing out loud.

Picking any scene from the first two Godfather movies is almost unfair. They are complete classics, perfect films. And the last scene of the 3rd one. I actually got sucked into Godfather I again last night. Never gets old.

3 of my favorite scenes all from my fave film. I remember when it came out I went to the movies on opening weekend in 1988.

This is the masterpiece shot of Goodfellas. One single steadicam take. It took 3 days to shoot and describes the breathlessness of Henry's life perfectly.
