Paolini (7) d Krejcikova 61 62, sad for Barbora who was impaired in this match with a left foot/leg injury, who did have a MTO in the match, could not play her best tennis tpday.
Jazz moves into QF she will play Coco Gauff

Swaitek wins 63 64 over Kalinskaya,
Anna had a injury early in the 1st set, left leg heavily strapped, also her left shoulder strapped. Anna tried to compete in the match, in the set 2nd her level dropped, though with this QF appearance she will be in the Top 30
The Heat Rule has been enforced today.

Impressive 1st set from Rybakina who hasnt allowed Saba to get into the 1st set, pushing Saba off the baseline, Elena is one of the few players that can hit through Saba, not that Saba hasnt played badly, Elena hasnt allowed her to
Rybakina 6-1 in 1/2 hour,, lets see if the defending champion can reset in the 2nd set
Both players are having a break, very hot
Vukov telling Elena to keep the intensity up in the 2nd set.
Both ladies have huge serves, their consistency with their serving will be a factor in this match today
This is the best level I have seen from Rybakina in a long time, she has become 'unplayable'
Elena got an early break in the 2nd set, Saba did have BPs on Elena's previous service game, could not convert
Elena 4-2 2nd set
Elena will now serve for a place in the SFs at 5-4
Rybakina d Sabalenka 61 64 quite a Master class performance from Elena one of her best matches for a long time
Elena will play Iga in the SFs

Jaz came back from being down a set to win the match against Coco Gauff, this match had good and bad, Gauff DF and UFE cost her in the match
Jaz had a fall on her ankle in the 2nd set put some ice on it, played on, it didnt effect her movement
Jaz will play Kudermetova in the SF
Jazz had 7 Winner and 14 UFE, Coco had 22 winner 62 UFE and 14 DFs

I hope Jaz withdraws from her SF doubles match, if her ankle is giving her trouble, she had a fall on it in her QF match against Gauff, she has a SF singles match to play against Kudermetova and having a rest day is more sensible to me, than playing a SF match with Sara Errani.

Iga switched on after being down 3-5 in the 1st set and won it 7-5 a collapse from Rybakina as she was serving for the 1st set, at 5-4, as have we have seen in the past when she gets pressured or in a SF or a final in a tournament
Iga raised her level and won the match 75 63 and is into her first final at Cincy she will play either Paolini or Kudermetova in the final

Jaz played well in the 1st set , her ankle doesnt seem to be a problem, her movement around the court so far is good, she won 12 of the last 13 points in the 1st set to win 63
Jaz to serve for a place in the final at 5-4, Kudermetova error ridden and a DF did not help her cause in the 2nd set, where Jaz has been solid and clutch when it mattered
Jaz down 15-40 when serving for the match, got it back to deuce and then her fhand found the net, back on serve in the 2nd set 5 all, that loose play came from nowhere
A TB for the 2nd set
Kudermetova played well in the TB winning 76(2) Jaz too many ufe and she will need to address them in the 3rd set if she wants a place in the final
Going 3

Jasmine got tight, for sure. I hope she can come back strong in the decider and win it! Forza, Jaz!
