At this rate, I think the tournament championship is up for grabs to any of the remaining players. A really open draw considering who has made it this far!
I would put $$ on Konta2 winning the whole thing w/ Vika running a close 2nd.

Jelena was down in the 3rd set but fought back and won the critical moments in the deciding set
Well done Jelena....who will play Azarenka in the s/finals.

Making her Indian Wells debut Paula Badosa (21) defeats Angie Kerber (10) 64 75.It is the 3rd seeded player Paula has defeated in this tournament Krejcikova (5) and Gauff (15).
Paula will play Ons Jabeur in the s/final on Friday.

Seeing that Kontaveit and Kerber lost their respective q/final matches.Ons Jabeur is the first Arab player to break into the Top 10
Well done Ons!

Not exactly the semifinals I would have expected but hey, if the match is high quality then women’s tennis wins. I am all about seeing the women do well, both on the court competition wise and in their pockets financially.

Ostapenko wins the 1st set 63,Vika started poorly her 1st serve missing, did break back, but Jelena strong off both wings.Vika needs to find her 1st serve in the 2nd set and try to attack more the 2nd serve of Jelena.Jelena can be hit and miss

Vika gets the break back, lets see if she can hold,Jelena going for too much on her shots, she plays with low margin most of the time

Vika held, saving 2 BPs and leads 5-2 2nd set,her first serve percentage is now 73%,which helps her game enormously.

Vika has found her fire. I like this match-up. Big hitting, and they both want it.
