I am not surprised at the result so far
My wise dad once said to me as a player some times you have to lose a GS final in order to know how to win one
Yeah same. Haven't bet in ages but, given their h2h in Medvedev's favour coupled with the very common letdown after a huge win, it seems to be playing to the script we see so often. In many people's eyes (including possibly his own) he'd won the title after beating Djokovic. Hence the score today.

I am actually surprised about the results so far. I am not surprised that Medvedev is winning. But I am more surprised that it is not a competitive match so far. But that’s Tennis like Sinner said.
I am not surprised at all I called this earlier

if Sinner already had a slam, then I wouldn’t mind this type of beating. But because he currently has zero, I am kinda disappointed with this performance. Great for Medvedev and his fans though.

I have followed Jannik since his junior days, and he has to know how to win a GS title, he has to lose one in order to know how to win oen

Well, let’s hope this match will give him some experience to win one in the future.

If Sinner can come back from being 2 sets down in a GS final, well I will take my hat off to him

I get that mindset but sometimes it is not guaranteed that a player will win one. Now, I do expect Sinner to win at least one slam but I will be anxious until that happens.

Hey he will win more than 1 GS title, I can assure your of that, players sometimes have to go through the motions, eg losing a GS final, it makes them stronger in the long run

That’s why Sinner’s biggest downfall today other than Medvedev is his 1st serve. Just not enough very good 1st serves today to get some rhythm. His FH is also AWOL today.

This 3rd set, is what I expected to happen. Better serving leads to better rhythm. Medvedev’s level has lowered a tad bit, but still good enough to hold serve relatively well.

Another tactical mistake from Sinner in this match in my opinion: He should have become more aggressive on his FH instead of playing the margins. By playing the margins, Medvedev was able to become more aggressive on his on FH.

Medvedev probably needs to win in 3. Looking a bit gassed which is understandble given the over 6 hours more he's played in the tournament. 4th set could run away quickly if he loses this.

Well, that's the end of that!
