Carlos Alcaraz was asked what his favorite moment was this year after his win over Fritz at the Six Kings Slam

"This year has been my best year so far without a doubt. When I won Roland Garros, that was a great moment for me, when I won Monte Carlo, I came from losing in Miami. I was able to come back mentally and physically and play great tennis in Monte Carlo.I'm going to choose those moments from this year".

Jack Draper's long time coach, James Trotman, has split from him, after Draper's decision to work with Jamie Delgado. Initially, it was reported that Trotman would still have a role in Draper's team while traveling less, however the coach confirmed to BBC sport that he has decided to step back entirely for family reasons

Khachanov who failed to defend his Almaty Open, he was defeated by Struff 46 76(5) 63, meaning he will leave the Top Ten
He also has a final to defend in Vienna next week as well, he has been struggling with form.

Novak Djokovic after losing to Jannik Sinner 64 62 at the SFs of the Six Kings Slam,

"I'm sorry you couldnt see a longer match. Its his fault. Not my fault. I tried in that last game to intimidate him a bit in that last game 0-15 point but it didnt work. It felt like a runaway train. He was smacking the ball from all corners. He was just too good. Well done to him and good luck in the finals".

Frenchman Arthur Fils has withdrawn from the upcoming Basel tournament, the end of the season is fast approaching. The European indoor tour has already begun and will continue in the coming weeks.Fils suffered a stress fracture in his back during Roland Garros, his last match was August 1 against Lehecka in Canada ( defeated 36 63 64).
With the ongoing injury in his back, maybe a good idea to shut down his 2025 season, just my thoughts, stress fractures ( in the back) are tricky to heal, at the best of times, playing again could only make the injury worse.

Don Hi,
Rune injured his leg in his match against Etcheverry, I would not have been surprised if he had not played today and withdrew
Torn achilles is a long time to recover,, also he was in the hunt for a place in the ATP finals.
Just some updated news, he could be out for 3 to six months, he will have a scan and then surgery ( according to his mother Aneke)

What to say about this cash grab exho? Half of the players with niggling injuries or simply going through the motions for 1.5 mil appearance fee (read Novak, Zverev and Tsitsipas). Men's matches that last 1 hour? Then the winner gets additional 4.5 mil in a pocket. It's ridiculous.

Last year at least players were in a fight mode and there were some good matches, but this year was a borefest.

At this time of the year I guess all players have niggling injuries, though 1.5 million appearance fee, is too good to pass up :)
Oh well the Saudi's have the cash to throw around., agree some of the matches were very one sided.

It's hard to take this exh. Tourney in the Middle East seriously! The 6 Kings Slam is so contrived, literally throwing millions of dollars at all the players just to show up! I didn't watch it, but looking at the scores, all the main matches ended up w/ relatively the same score w/ the winner only dropping 6 games in the SF's & Final! Again Novak was right w/ them until he retired in the rel. match for 3rd! :fearful-face::face-vomiting::face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face:

Apparently you didnt watch the SF " Live " when Novak played Sinner, Sinner wiped him off the court in straight sets 64 62, and Novak said Sinner was like a 'run away train!
Novak's legs gave out after the 1st set against Fritz which Fritz won 76(4) if you had watched the match 'Live" he said he was sorry he could not go on and credit to Fritz!
