At least Craig Tiley wont be having 'kittens' seeing the Masters in Saudi will probably be held in February of 2028 not before his beloved AO,,
I dont think anyone is surprised by Saudi getting a Masters 1000 tournament.

I was just wondering when they'll place it, but February makes the most sense with the gap between AO and the Sunshine Double. Plus, a lot of players are in that region anyways, with Dubai and Doha.

I do think the concerns about another mandatory event are valid, but players can just swap out an ATP 500. Or they could keep it at eight mandatory Masters with two "floaters."

Reading further news, apparently AO was given assurances it will not conflict with tennis Summer Down Under and it will probably be in February, though date was strangely absent from release
Note, that in future the AO will have to watch its dates, as in 2026 the AO starts Monday 12th Jan to Sunday 1st February, if the Masters in Saudi is given a February date, the AO might have to move the starting date a bit earlier, though lets wait and see the actual date in February the Saudi Masters will commence.

Shelton's Turin qualification has to wait for next week ( likely) as Munar moves into the QFs in Basel, extending his head to head record vs Shelton in 2025 to 3-0, Munar defeated Shelton in straight sets 63 64
