Amanda Anisimova, comes back to the WTA Tour after 7 months with a good win over Anastasia Palvyuchenkova 75 64, Amanda who is talented took some time off the tour citing mental health issues, she has a good overall game and Darren Cahill had a brief coaching arrangement with Amanda.
Amanda is into the 2nd round in Auckland she will play Bouzkova

Yes both The Greek God and Greek Goddess are in the mixed doubles won the 1st set in TB 76(5) just early in the 2nd set,

Chile came back in the mixed doubles to win the tie over Greece 2-1 D.Sequel/T.Barrios Vera d The Greek God and Godess 67(5) 63 10-6
Despite Chile winning they are eliminated, even though they got a tie win
Greece v CAN tomorrow to decide who makes the QFs as the group winner

Before I head off to work I have been watching Azarenka in Brisbane, she looked good winning the 1st set 61, really aggressive, and taking the ball on early and solid returning

One of the best class acts in the women's game. I will miss her. I would like to see her and Venus team up in doubles at some point in 2024.

Sofia Kenin has taken a wild card at the Hobart International, I watched some of her match in Brisbane yesterday against Aussie Arina Rodionova, Kenin lost in SS, probably needs more match play, her serve let her down in this match big time.
