The Tournament:

The Miami Open (also known as the Miami Masters, and currently branded as the Miami Open presented by Itaú for sponsorship reasons) is a tennis tournament held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It is part of the men's ATP Tour Masters 1000 circuit, and part of the women's WTA 1000 circuit. The Miami Open is usually held between March and April.

The tournament had historically been held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Florida from 1987 through 2018, before moving to Miami Gardens for 2019. Behind the Indian Wells Masters, it is the second event of the "Sunshine Double"—a series of two consecutive hard court tournaments in the United States at the beginning of the season. They are the only tournaments besides majors where main draw play extends beyond eight days.

About Miami:

Miami, officially the City of Miami, is a coastal metropolis and the seat of Miami-Dade County in South Florida. With a population of 442,241 as of the 2020 census, it is the second-most populous city in the state of Florida after Jacksonville. The Miami metropolitan area is the ninth-largest in the United States with a population of 6.138 million in 2020. The city has the third largest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises, 58 of which exceed 491 ft (150 m).

Miami is a major center and leader in finance, commerce, culture, arts, and international trade. Miami's metropolitan area is by far the largest urban economy in Florida, with a gross domestic product of $344.9 billion as of 2017. According to a 2018 UBS study of 77 world cities, Miami is the second richest city in the U.S. and the third richest globally in purchasing power. Miami is a majority-minority city with a Hispanic population of 310,472, or 70.2 percent of the city's population, as of 2020.

Vee, it's time girlfriend. See how relaxed Rena was sitting in the stands and walking the grounds talking to everybody. It's time for that to be you.

I really don't understand why she is taking these wildcards. One hungry youngster could have benefited.
The dope fiend is playing right now...

Hey Tossip,

I dont think you have heard the tragic news, which I posted yesterday on the WTA News,
'Saba's long time boyfriend, took his own life and jumped off a hotel balcony he was in Miami to support Saba
Saba says she is still playing, but wont be giving press conferences.

I saw Darren Cahill on court with the Doper yesterday, she better not try to lure Cahill away from coaching Sinner, I dont trust her, Cahill will get my 'wrath' if that happens!

For the life of me why is Badosa ( who is one of Saba's best friends) playing, quite frankly I thought she would withdraw again, her back is ' not healed"
Halep 1st set 61, the journalists will probably have her winning the tournament if she wins this match :) they are all swooning over her on Twitter at present

Just A Reminder of Simona Haleps comments on Sharapova in April 2017,

"For the kids, for the young players, it is not okay to help a players with a wild card who was banned for doping"

Halep returns from her doping ban with a wild card at the Miami Open!

Physio out for Halep a long game 3-5 in the 2nd set, pointing to her shoulder
Badosa will try to serve out the 2nd set 5-4
Going 3 sets, Badosa wins 2nd set 64

Her movement to me is off, even if she wins the match, I wont be surprised she will lose the 2nd match, or withdraw, Badosa was hopeless in the 1st set., losing 6-1 to a player that hasnt played since the USO 2022?

I forgot to mention this earlier,
After Taylor Townsend won her match against Bronzetti, she ran to her box and picked up her little boy and gave him a big hug :)
