Question.. I am watching US Open 2018 Qtr Thiem vs Nadal , Did Rafa get hurt during the match or was it against JMDP in the semi when he had to retire due to a stomach muscles injury? Can someone recall the encounter please?

It was JMDP in the s/final,I thought he had to retire due to knee injury?

Yes , you are correct.. it was the 2009 encounter vs JMDP with the abdominal injury thanks Margaret.. Still one helluva a match between the two clay court specialists on the hardcourts of the USO

The Draw for the ATP250 which Rafa is playing is supposed to take place on the 2nd January

Matteo was off with the fairies in his match against Alex and deserved to lose.Though he is now wearing Hugo Boss which kind of soften the blow for me

Nadal and Munar were scheduled to play the Aussie pair of Polmans/Popyrin in their doubles match today,they're out so they will play Benny Paire and Ruusuvudri.

TBH, I thought he was one of the dangers in the draw for Rafa. I didn't realize that Nick had asthma. Am I forgetting something?

No it was not COVID,no reason,trying to find out.

There has been another change of opponents for Nadal/Munar,they are now playing on court 13 the Argentine doubles pair of Baez/Etcheverry
Nadal/Munar won the 1st set 63.....I have no idea why there was another change of teams.

Watched some of Andy Murray's match on Rod Laver which was playing very fast and suited the big server today.Murray was no where at the level he played in Abu Dhabi,lost in 3 sets to Facundo Bagnis 76# in 3 sets.
