I wish they found a way to give this tournament ATP points. They couldn't just add it on obviously as it would only benefit those in the tournament ("ageism!"), but make it applicable for one of the "best other results" category. It would make it more meaningful, rather than a weird exo.

Kicked off today.

Lechecka Vs Passaro on now.

I like fast fours, full tiebreak is good.
Auto line calling love it.

Draper up this evening too.
I feel Jack has a lot of upside to his game, though I have mentioned before, he seems to be injury prone.

Wow Stricker defeated Draper in 3 t/break sets, a bit surprised though Stricker deserved his win, he was sharper than Jack.
Stricker will play Musetti next.

Just about to watch the Draper match.
From over 200 in the world to top 50 in one year.
Draper has taken on a new fitness coach to develop his physicality and injury avoidance.

Good opponent had a very good junior career and might feel he had the edge.

Let's see.

Very impressive from Stricker.
The missing of 4 match points didn't phase him.
He spoke well after the match.

It was close but felt like Draper was always slightly on the back foot.

Fast fours is fast, I've played lots. Although they've slowed it down with netcords on serve, and full tiebreaks.

Musetti v Stricker will be interesting, last match this evening.

I'm part way through the Arnaldi v Passaro match.
Italian tennis fest!
Fognini is watching. Nice to see him supporting the younguns.
They are playing pretty well. Both lost yesterday..

Musetti up later to carry on the Italian theme

Jack Draper got a win. Up and running.
He commented on it being a fast format having to get with it early or it rushes by.

Tseng's arm looks painful, even if it isn't
Stiff racquet, stiff poly, bash bash bash.
As a former golfers elbow suferer and elbow hyper-extensionist I can feel his pain.
A bit of Kinotape won't do much I fear.

More good matches on the way.

Musetti v Stricker cued up now.

Lehecka won against Stricker in the first SF

Had never seen Lehecka play before this tournament, and also hadn't heard of the 8/9 seeds Passaro and Arnaldi :)

Def one to watch.
In some of his matches he just seemed to hit the lines at will.

Going to be an interesting final.

Then it's full on ATP 'seniors' WTF.

Death by tennis watching

Fortunately I play tennis often, to keep me active and away from the sofa
