PCB wins the second set 7-6, he was the steadier player in that set. That set is the reason why he is 3-1 against Shapo...just too many UFEs from Shapo.

I think it's why he's won in the past, but we'll see what Shapo is made of here. Either he's more mature, or he's not.

He is definitely a better player now from what I have seen tonight. My only question I wonder why he does not unload on his crosscourt backhand?

Busta showed in the t/break what a good bhand he has....I always thought of him more of a doubles player quite frankly

That surprises me. He's been ranked as high as 25...he's like 27 now. And I don't actually think of him as a doubles player. If he is, he hasn't learned much about the net.

Carreno Busta reminds me of Bautista Agut. Great mover and very solid baseliner.

Spain has so many players, and they do slot them into doubles in team play, but PCB is neither a regular doubles player, nor an accomplished one. I'd say the list in front of him is long, even just as to Spaniards.

In fairness, I just looked at his doubles ranking and it is 46, so he's not just a make-weight.

Bad call on the first ball, not challenged, and now we're back on serve.

Seriously, will PCB ever hold on his serve after getting a service break? If he loses this match, it will be this particular reason.

Please remind me of the last time you saw Pablo at the net this match. He's playing some stylish and solid tennis, but he's waiting for mistakes. I don't think he's trying to be the author of his own fate in this match.

Big hold from Denis. 6-5 in the 3rd, and now PCB serves to take it to a tb.

I have not seen him go to the net, Moxie.

Some of y’all can’t drop anything. Djokovic doesn’t have anything to do with this match.

Anyway, great play from both players.
