Irony from Rafa fans. We now have MTO Roger, in addition to a Serbian who is so desperate to be loved. Rafa made a career out of MTOs. I give credit to Rafa because he has been punching above his weight his entire career. A slow court player who was able to win two Wimbledons. That is extraordinary!! His grit is unparalleled. Djokovic is physical is also but way more stylish than Nadal.
Spoken like a true partisan.

What is this, the Miss Universe Pageant?

Style points don't count in tennis, plus I think Miss Spain looked better in her flamenco outfit than Miss Switzerland in her yodeling getup and Miss Serbia in her combat boots…

Rune duffs the smash, then Carlos gets the break with the clean winner.

Too long I'm afraid, but he is going to fight until the last point no doubt about it.
I certainly hope so. Or let’s put it this way: I’ll be extremely disappointed if he doesn’t. If the third set is 6-1, it will be a poor reflection on Holger. But I don’t think that will happen.

Really, it’s going to be a test of mettle. Hopefully the Dane will keep fighting.

He allowed himself to be broken again.

I will be just petty just for right now: Sinner did better against Alcaraz than what Rune is doing right now.

But in all seriousness, this is a good learning moment for Holger Rune. He is only 20 years old so he ample of time to improve his game.

Alcaraz in straight sets.

As I said,Holger needed to serve first 65-70% which he did not.

Ironically his only break chance came in Carlos 1st service game whereas Carlos was opportunistic 2 for 2. Could woulda shoulda. Oh well.

Thought both player had some incredible shot making, looking forward to a long and exciting rivalry !
