I hope other players are not grumpling about Haddad Maia, she come from nowhere to beating anybody and everybody. That positive drug test must be a spectre hanging over her career.

I'll be rooting for Haddad Maia. I'm trying to make my picks in the Draw challenge, and I wonder if both will withdraw from Cincy to rest up for the USO.

Bea has a great chance for her first 1000 level win tomorrow. She beat Simo earlier on the way to her Birmingham title.

She's on the rise, and Halep has been shaky. Full-disclosure, I find Halep, for all of her talents, irritating and whiny. Go, Brazil!

Beatriz will rise to No 16 ranking, her goal was to be in the Top 20 by the end of the year, mission accomplished
If she can win the biggest title of her career, on Sunday, she will move into the Top 15.

Just tuning into the final, Halep has defeated Beatriz on a HC before, she leads their H2H 2-1, most recent meeting was on grass earlier this year, where Beatriz won

Patrick M really has to address the serve of Halep 3 DFs in one game now
Halep breaks herself DFs Galore

One of the big advantages in this match is that Beatriz has a lefty serve and uses the ''slider' well, compared to Halep's serve, Halep's 2nd serve is weak and very attackable

It isn't just the 2nd serve of Simo that attackable. Because she has no confidence in it, she ends up just rolling in the first serve and that becomes a love offering as well. She is just screwed on serve until they figure it out.

Did you notice she won the toss and elected to receive? Probably didn't want to get broken in the first game.

Bea not playing the percentages. Simo will be formidable off the ground no matter what her serve looks like. I wouldn't get into a slugfest with her. Bea needs to be aggressive and get to the net.

And stay away from the corners. She needs to hit deep down the middle and take away Halep's angles.
