No, they did not say that. I do think Zverev will probably skip Grass season altogether. He can't take a risk on that right ankle especially with the NA HC swing and Fall indoor season.
He could be out for longer, a clean break of an ankle is easier to heal, than ligament damage, anyway we shall see
People are saying he might not be back this year.

I know one thing for certain Rafa would not like to be in this position getting to a GS final via retirement, having to watch his opponent getting in a wheel chair off court and then coming back on crutches to retire from the match

Let us hope the final will be played in better conditions...sunny and no rain
Anyway the roof will be open for the Ruud v Marin match thank goodness
Unfortunately, Sunday’s forecast will be the same. I am praying Nadal will be healthy on Sunday!

No he said that he plans on returning next year to RG. .

As I said, he's FOS poor-mouthing it as if he can barely make it around the court! IMO he's already extended his tenure too long! I assure you retirement's gonna be challenging! I can see a hip replacement in his future and inevitable need to take care of that "heel!" He's pushed himself to the limit so I have absolutely no sympathy for the guy! :fearful-face::shushing-face::astonished-face:

Why wasnt the roof opened in this match when the rain went? officials looking at you
Some of the scheduling issues needs to be addressed also after RG finishes this year

Because it is one of the ITF rules regarding about roofs.

Once the roof is close before the beginning of the match, they can’t re-open the roof during any time of the match.

Nooooooooooooo
I havent seen Rafa play so poorly at RG as he did today. Sascha played well and this isnt directed at him but Rafa's UFEs was more 6 inches or more out. He didnt have any control today. I cant sit through another 3 hour of that stuff. He has got to make some equipment changes with his team. change his racket tensions.

Heavy conditions does make for string changes in racquet, for sure, maybe having 2 days off doesnt really suit Rafa at all.
Hopefully he will get rid of the rust that he showed and play better in the final., reset and play like he did against Novak

I don't think Rafa could play any better versus Novak and I don’t think he could play any worse versus Zverev.

I’m hoping he was mentally flat because of the letdown after such a QF, Chrissie Evert always said when you get older its hard to get “up” for consecutive matches. And that Novak match was HUGE.

At this point i hope a light hit at best tommorow for Rafa and an attempt to unwind.

Also spare a thought for Misha Zverev he was commentating on the match, must have been bloody hard for him to control his emotions when he saw his brother have a bad fall like he did.

Oh that’s right no points for Wimbledon and currently not able to play the US Open or Cincy. I wonder how far his drop down will be.
