Not sure if anyone already mentioned this and I was actually going to months ago but forgot but anyway, Patty Schnyder is back on tour. She has a wild card for the 2016 Family Circle Cup, Qualification. She's 37 now and is playing today. Just had a child recently and won an ITF Pro Circuit Futures $10,000 event in Prague in just the fourth event of her comeback.

Katowice Open 2016 has finished and the final between Camilla Giorgi and Dominika Cibulkova ended with a clear victory for Cibulkova 64 60 - good to see her back on track - well done.

By winning her 5th title, Cibulkova jumps with 15 spots up to #38! Has ZERO points to defend until Eastbourne. Good chance for a RG seeding.

And again we saw a bad attitude from Giorgi. Normally you say something about the tournament, opponent, sponsors - nope - unsympatico as usual IMHO

Well look at Sloane taking another title too bad she is sucking at the big events and got over her demons at the smaller events. Time to show up at the bigger events and make some QF, SF and F consistently now.

Caroline is injured right now and according to Caro's Danish manager Caro's torn a ligament in her right ankle and strained two other ligaments! That doesn't sound good and he says Caroline's injury could keep her out for up to six weeks!
Mikkel Nissen: "We hope she'll be ready for the French Open but it is too early to say anything right now. We will know more in a few weeks!

She put out a selfie the other day:

telling this: She will miss Fed Cup after rolling right ankle. It was her Olympics that - maybe - ended there as she had to play for the Danis Fed cup team to take part, but maybe she'll get a dispensation but she won't know anything until mid-June.

Not a lucky year she's had until now IMHO

Petra Kvitova has got a new coach. The name is František Čermák a former doubles player and FO 2013 mix champion. Petra used him as a hitting partner in Miami and Indian Wells.
Hopefully this will help her to return where she belongs.

Sorry to hear about Woz. Torn ligaments are fairly common and not too serious. She will make a full recovery, although being in doubt for Olympics makes this accident very disappointing. Was her ankle not braced? Every player should be wearing ankle supports (and possibly knee straps). I wish her all the best!
