Well, the Miami schedule indicates that the quarters and semis are scheduled back-to-back. If Serena reaches same, will her knee hold up? We'll see if that occurs.

Let's hope so.

The good part is Serena recognized there was a problem, and didn't continue playing in IW. Some players aren't so wise.

A little exciting news from Caro. she's arranged with former world #1 Arantxa Sánchez Vicario (now Arantxa Velasco) to help her with her clay season - a good choice me thinks - here she is with Arantxa:

And Monday she's visiting The White House in their special Easter tradition. Next tournament for Caro is in Stutgart. Before that she's supporting the Danish Fed cup team.

If you don't remember Arantxa Sánchez Vicario - you're maybe excused but here are some facts:

World #1 in 1995
Slam finals:
Singles: 12 (4 titles, 8 runner–ups)
Women's doubles: 11 (6 titles, 5 runner–ups)
Mixed doubles: 8 (4 titles, 4 runner–ups)

Yeah and 3 of the titles are FO titles (along with 3 runner ups). Another thing retiring in November 2002. She came out of retirement in 2004 to play doubles in a few select tournaments as well as the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she became the only tennis player to play in five Olympics in the Games history - winning 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

I totally remember Aranxta but I sure am glad you used her maiden name. I think it's always a good thing when players seek new voices to help out. It means they're still trying to learn. This will be a good addition to Caro's team.
