I've been trying to watch some of these replays on the Tennis Channel and the feed is quite abysmal. My husband (not a tennis fan) happened by and likened the screen to an early 90s video game. I guess I should be glad they showed this tourney at all:snigger

Yeah not the best feed but there was one! - not like the scandal Miami tourney where there were ONLY 20 WTA matches from the WHOLE tournament.

Congrats to Ana but had to mention that Jaksic is a complete and utter joke in the shrieking department. When are the WTA going to do something about this pathetic noise during play? Not as bad as usual in the Monterrey final but listen to her here! Should've been escorted off the court.

Completely agree with you and Front. The "funny" thing is that they (the squeelers) don't sound like that on the training court. It's a part of psycological warfare and attack on the oponents concentration when serving - thought out in Russian training camps in the 90s IMHO. I've seen other comments about this that e.g. Maria Sharapova doesn't sound at all during training - well we'll see if the WTA will do something. I know that Caroline has brought it up in the WTA players council.
