I read Sabine has the flu....I am not sure about her still playing doubles

Just awful today from Serena although Garcia is also playing great. Serena's serve has been terrible today though.

She's playing not to make errors, and as a result her shots are landing short. Also, her serve is lacking, which I believe is due to some nerves, because Garcia is playing alright, but, nothing special.

Serena just has to get those feet moving and get those first serves in

Well hopefully losing that second set the way she did wakes her up. The one downside I have noticed with Patrick as her coach is that the aggression has toned down. He has gotten her to cut down on her numbers of errors overall in her game, but he has also made it to where her shots are not getting the depth that they need to not be attacked at times. She doesn't have that right mix of aggression at the moment. I think that is why we have seen a lot of 3 setters from her where they realistically should have been straight setters. Let me rephrase that in that we haven't seen a lot of three setters from her, but the ones that went to 3 sets didn't have to be if she didn't take her foot off the gas.

That was some tough match there for Serena. Very well played by Garcia. Serena's serving was subpar but the match was exciting I thought.
