Cincinnati is also worth 900 points, not 1000. Both are Premier 5's.

Squealing and screeching all the way no doubt! My mom keeps asking when are they going to step in and silence these banshees? I assume it'll be th "twelfth of never!" It's been all talk about "grandfathering" in rules against it! If anything, new players are even louder on the court! Disgusting! :nono

Will Serena & Sloane finally meet post AO hoopla.

I'm not looking forward to it at all! She's a kid while Serena's supposed to be a mature, seasoned player and woman! I don't blame Sloane for being upset with her! SW should be better than this kind of petty nonsense!

Vika got a tough draw. Most of the real threats are on her side. She has to beat Petra and Li before getting to the final. If both were not chokers and error machines, she would have no chance.

If you want to be in the top you've to beat the top players. A similar job has my babe: Lepchenko, Bartoli, a Williams before she gets out of her quarter. If Caroline wants to belong to the top 10 she has to beat a top ten - simple as that. And with a bit of good play and luck she'll face Serena in the quarter final - well exciting to follow anyway. Good luck to Vika and Caro. :)

You are really expecting Sloane to win her quarter? They can't meet before semi-finals, Sloane can barely win matches outside grand slams.

It's tough, but she's still the favourite to come out of the bottom half. There is no guarantee Kvitova and Li even live up to their seedings. Kvitova's form is appalling, and I don't see her as a great threat. Li is still to be seen, but has to get out of her own quarter first.

"If both were not chokers and error machines, she would have no chance." is a meaningless statement with no actual meaning. Anybody could say if I could keep the ball in the court like a metronome I would be pro tennis player.

It will be interesting to have that many qualifiers in the same quarter. They're more dangerous than wildcards, because they have already shown they're motivated and playing well, whereas the wildcards are more of an unknown.

Azarenka has withdrawn from Toronto citing a lower back injury

“I'm so disappointed that I can't make it to Toronto as I added it to my schedule knowing what an important event it is,” said Azarenka. “I am sorry to all my Canadian fans and I will work hard to get healthy and back on the courts as soon as possible.”

Azarenka was the No.2 seed in the Toronto draw. As per WTA rules, the next highest seeded player without a bye moves into Azarenka's spot in the draw, meaning Caroline Wozniacki will now move into that position. Wozniacki, who was originally slated to play Monday night, will now receive a first-round bye.

Wozniacki’s spot in the draw will be replaced by a lucky loser.

A revised order of play for Monday can be found here.
