As a correspondent I have to say it as I see it.
It's a heck of lot easier to score 500 points here than in Beijing.

Agreed, but who's fault is that? The players hungry after the "ka-ching" piled up in Beijing, thus they will get more money and probably less points.

It is either easy points or more dough.

I think everybody will agree with the above remark. This is where intelligent scheduling
and priorities come in. If your primary priority is to get points so that you have a decent
chance of qualifying for WTF, you should be playing this and not in Beijing.

Of the 6 contenders vying for a spot in WTF, Murray, Grigor and Berdych are not
here. However, of the other three who choose to get "free" points, two (Man and Little Beast)
managed just 10 points as they lost in the first round itself.

This is a good point, and makes it even more incredulous that these players lost. Grigor may regret not entering this one, in about a day or two..

I can't believe that Stan the man lost to a guy I never heard of.:puzzled

His form doesn't look promising for their DC quest. He better get serious because if he fails, he will be crucified by Swiss.:nono

SF:
Raonic - Simon
Nishikori - Becker

Raonic is 3-0 against Gillou, I hope this will continue here in Tokyo.

Who do you think would win a Raonic/Nishikori final? (Sure, I'm assuming they're both going to win their SFs, but it's fun to speculate.)
