Isner love = a four set loss, losing all three tiebreaks.

:clap :celeb:

(showing the love)

Not to mention the extra $20,000 dollars he earned by losing in R32 by virtue of
placing second in the US Open Series (thanks to point doubling rule). :laydownlaughing

Hey man, he is a fighter...he never rolls over...

You're right, he never rolls over - just runs out of gas - a lot. :snigger.

Um,he has a pretty good 4 and 5 set record....

Today I think he just got out played. Kohli's groundies and return were vicious today. And accurate.

Um where is 5 win 12 loss five set record "pretty good"? :nono

Kohli beat him here three years running. Must be a bad match-up for a big serving giant to play an even-tempered little guy. ;)

No, not a great winning percentage, but many of those losses were against top players.

Yeh, clean hitting small guys rule!!!

Read this from Tignor this morning,

"But this has been the way of Isner’s career: Everything changes—i.e., gets much worse—when he moves from best-of-three to best-of-five. All of his wins over Kohlschreiber have come in the the shorter format; all of his losses in the longer one.

Isner has struggled at Slams in the past because he’s run out of gas after playing a long match.

Best quote of all to sum up J.Isner tennis:

Only against John Isner can you be aced 42 times, make one return, and win a match.
