The Tournament:

The Canadian Open (also known as the Canada Masters, and known as the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank for sponsorship reasons) is an annual tennis tournament held in Canada. The men's competition is a Masters 1000 event on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour. The women's competition is a Premier 5 tournament on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tour. The competition is played on hard courts.

The events alternate from year to year between the cities of Montreal and Toronto. In odd-numbered years, the men's tournament is held in Montreal, while the women's tournament is held in Toronto, and vice versa in even-numbered years. The Toronto tournament is held at the Aviva Centre, York University, and the Montreal tournament is held at the Stade Uniprix. Src: Wiki

About Toronto

Toronto, the provincial capital of Ontario, Canada, is a large, ethnically diverse city sprawling along Lake Ontario's northwestern shore. A dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, all dwarfed by the iconic CN Tower, it also features abundant green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen's Park to 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo.

Ferrer really embarrassing himself these days! Every time he's on court, the UFE are inexplicable with his tenacity the only evidence of why he was in the top 10 for so long! Now it looks as if he's overstayed his welcome! If he's just looking to have something to do, travel, and hang around his buds, he's in his element! If he actually thinks he's going to win even a challenger tournament, he's more gone than I thought and is quite delusional! Poor thing has just looked awful of late! :nono:  :banghead: :cuckoo:

Looks like Raonic is going to take Marty McFly.
Milos played really well, this was a very tough first round for Goffin.
I hope Milos keeps playing this way,
It's been sometime since he was in contention for a title.

Another tough first round was between Schwartzman, ranked 12 and Edmund ranked 16.
Diego came through.
