Matches suspended at present ---- rain, apparently the weather forecast for Friday is bad,
Townsend 62 42 over Mertens (25)
D.Parry 63 over Haddad Maia
Katie Boulter wins via retirement over 16 yo Brenda Fruhvirtova 76(5) 1-0
Surprising that it rained. It's completely sunny here with rain not expected until tonight. But I am 3 hours away, so there is that

what is happening to Woz? She keeps losing these winnable matches.

Well what a brilliant match in those windy conditions. Woz has not the ultimate condition yet but now she can play a 3 setter. Good match for both players with the Ukranian a bit better - congrats to her

Noticed that Gauff/Pegula lost in 3 sets in their 1st R1 doubles match to Krueger/Stephens 63 16 10-8
Probably for the best, both Jess and Coco need to concentrate on their singles level of play after the tournament at IW

Maria Sakkari wants to continue her good form from IW into Miami tournament
Lets pray to the 'tennis gods' she dosent make the final:) I am not prepared to go through the final from IW again!
Anyway I will check the scores later when I get home off to work

red foolery is back. Who is he cheering for? The ex or the U.S.youngster?

He's a mystery. Maybe he just likes tennis. But now he has crossed the country. This match is tight.

Stearns 50 winners to Azarenka's 16. Stearns saw the trainer, and seems to be suffering right arm/elbow. This is a battle royale.

Azarenka wins it. It was a crackerjack match. Tough loss for Stearns, and hope the elbow won't be a problem.

Apparently Red Foo was in Stearns box again this is becoming a habit :)
Hopefully the weather dosent ruin matches tomorrow, as rain is expected
Gauff, Swiatek, Pegula, Sabalenka, Svitolina and Jabeur ( for the life of me why is she playing Miami, she is not 100% healthy) wont be surprised if she dosent get far again in Miami

Organizers said no tennis before 1pm, but the commies said that is 'wishful thinking'

Marta Kostyuk has withdrawn. LL Dodin takes her place and gets a bye to the 2nd round
