i picked Karolina to win Miami....I just hoped I have not jinxed her.Good to see Lucie Safarova finding some good form after a horrid 2016 with illness.Always good to see Miss Vee in the mix at any tournament.

Tactics are a very important part of tennis,at this level you should be able to adjust your game accordingly.I honestly feel it is 'Spoon Feeding' players when a coach has to point out what you are doing wrong. At GS level coaches are not allowed on court, which makes this rule a complete joke.
I think that's the reason Serena states for not doing it...that she can't do it at Slams, so why get used to it. And I've never seen Venus do it. And they're two of the toughest out there. It doesn't do any good for the women's argument for equal pay that they act like they need their (mostly male) coaches to get them through the rough patches. I don't blame the players, I blame the WTA. It's a ridiculous rule that undermines the women and they need to cut it out ASAP.

I picked Pliskova to beat Kerber in the final on the prediction game. It's beginning to shape up.

Just got back home,I watched the earlier match between Halep v Konta,Halep was serving for the match,Jo broke, went to a t/break very tight,Jo won, then she really upped her game.Well deserved tough win.

I got my hubby to tape Vee's match and also Rafa's match. To me Kerber still is not playing the level of tennis she did in 2016,Vee plays offensive tennis,I thought she had a good chance to defeat Kerber. Will sit back and watch both matches with a big smile on my face:)

Well done to Caroline Woznicacki just too good for Pliskova, who I picked to win Miami. At one count Pliskova had 41 UFE?
Caroline won 57 61 61...I think this is the first time Caroline has reached Miami final.

I'm looking forward to this match, Venus v. Konta. Similar styles, and Konta says Vee is her idol.
