Rafa last year played awful and without any injury, do you know that? but what I've read through a good source it doesn't look good. If you think it doesn't look good what I say then I can't do anything about it, just try to ignore what I've said
OK, I'll ignore what you said.

Berdych through 6/3 6/4 over Ramos-Vilanos.

Mahut giving Cuevas more trouble than I expected. One set each and 3-3 in the decider.... I expected Cuevas to take this pretty comfortably.

Cuevas just lost to Mahut... I was expecting MUCH more from him in the clay season. Pretty disappointing... Mahut is a below average player on clay. Now Belucci gets a winable second round (I was already counting him out).

Ditto. Was expecting much more from Cuevas after a decent South American campaign. I thought this match was a foregone conclusion. Poor loss.

Thiem and Zverev playing doubles together. Interesting. They're up a set v Feliciano and Marc Lopez.

Kohli progresses with a 6/4 6/2 win over Cervantes. Always enjoyed watching Kohli - nice all round game.

As if Novak needs the help, he gets qualifier Robert, then the winner of Bellucci/Mahut. Pfft. Murray's tomorrow also should be straightforward. Fed/Zverev less so. And Nadal gets the tricky Kohly, but should be fine.

I doubt Roger will play, but we'll see.
Maybe his back will improve overnight.

Respectfully,

Nobody gave Vesely chances in MC but he won. I am always a bit nervous when Nole plays his first match in a new tournament. The conditions are different from Madrid and Robert already played a few matches here. I am not taking anything for granted.

Fed vs Zverev could be interesting. It depends on how Roger feels.

You're within your rights to feel nervous, as a fan, though you'll understand if most of us look down our noses at that. :scratch:Conditions do change from Madrid to Rome, and, in the videos that BB put up, both Novak and Rafa managed not to really address that at all. :lulz1: They've both had a lot of success in Rome, so their potential QF match up will be the anticipated match of the tournament.

I'm not convinced that Roger will get past Zverev, and masterclass seems to think he might even bail. Any intel on that? Anyone?
