Actually, if you revisited her Miami matches, she didn't hit a stride until she almost bounced by Dominika, and it hit it's peak against Radwanska. In fact I recall you, Sunday, mentioning her form with concern. Actually, you do that regardless.....lol!

I see Lisiki has come back down to earth.
She is only good on grass, she sucks on hard courts.

I still love her!!

I like Siki too.

It doesn't make sense that with her skills she only

does well once a year

Hopefully she'll do better in the big apple.

Kirilenko lost, she got Barthel'd!

Venus lost the first set to Elena, she is trying to even things out. Venus has set point but this game is going, going....

Petra is struggling, she is now running low again in the 3rd set. Two and half hour match there and counting.

Angie survived a shaky first set and got through in straights.

Come on Caro!

Phew - first set over after 1h 15 min and 64 to Caro. It's been atough first set with 1st game which lasted more than 10 minutes. Both servers have a high first service % and it seems like two equal players. Again it would have been nice if Cincy had streamed their courts like they do other places. It's simply the lousiest tournament TV wise like the other previous years and I wonder why WTA is allowing this. Never mind on with second set -GO CARO!:clap

It was another women's match recently that had a service game go long; maybe 18 min. in Azarenka match! What's up with that? lol!

Nothing wrong but the average time pr game was 7.5 minutes which tell us that it's just like sawing a big log. Would just have been nice if they brought it on TV:) Like this:

From twitter:
Drama! Caro complains about Niculescu making all kinds of random noises. Eva warns Nic that she'll have to call hindrance.

Nic asks Eva what up and Eva says "If you come over here I can explain it to you better." Nic stays
where she is...plays more quietly.

Later on 42 15-0 Niculesco had a MT. Now it's 53 and Caro to serve for the match - go go Caro!

Yes 64 63 and third round is next - well done Caroline - time for a Carlsberg :)

JJ pulled away in the decider, ahead 5-1 and serving for it, she is having her usual hiccup!

Caro is pulling away too, up a break in the second set.

The Wimby Champ just went down in 3 sets to Simona Halep, lost the last set badly 6-1
This is the second time in a row Marion can't get past her first match since her glorious win.

Hingis/Hantuchova went down as well, straight set loss to the top Italians, no shame losing to #1 as they say. I wonder if Martina would play US Open?

One more match and second round will be completed. I will post the scores then.

Another thing - when are journalists waking up and protest against the lousiest TV coverage on the tour - Cincy. ONLY 2 brodcasts from womens tennis yesterday. There are cameraes on 8 courts but it's only shown internally in the press room - ridiculous!

This thread is now 12 pages long, we will definitely need new threads for semis and the final.

I am looking for volunteers.

Who will do the semi threads?
Hoergren? Are you willing?
Or may be one of the new folks can do the honor?
DJ? RJD? Fiero? Honey??

First volunteer gets to start the threads.
