Another wild wild women's tournament in Luxembourg this week. All the top seeds were gone early and we had Mona Barthel and Misaki Doi in the final. Doi to the first and when she dropped the 2nd set tiebreak, it looked like Barthel would march ahead to her 4th career title. But Doi very impressively shook it off and walloped Barthel 6-1 in the third set to take her first WTA title. This gives Doi her career high ranking of No. 59.
Barthel and Laura Siegemund took the doubles title.
